There are two part-time Community Action Support Workers employed by Mendip Environment. They are both based at the Mendip District Council offices in Shepton Mallet, and work across the district, supporting environmental action and promoting sustainable living. The staff are supported by Jo Milling at Mendip District Council, and Charles Couzens, Director of the Ecos Trust.

John Tolson, who lives in Frome, has a background in architecture and a particular interest in sustainable building and energy conservation. Having trained as an energy auditor, he is co-ordinating the Mendip Energy Volunteers Scheme.
