Summary

Peter Goolden has designed and built an exciting green home close to Glastonbury’s Chalice Well and Tor. As well as a high level of insulation it has an air-source heat pump working in conjunction with a heat recovery ventilation unit. Peter intends to add a solar facility into the air source heat pump, as there is now a conversion kit available. The lounge boasts an innovative wood-burning stove that incorporates its own heat recovery unit. There are also light pipes to enhance daylight illumination and a wonderful living roof.
