The Mendip Environment Forum.

The Mendip Environment Forum meets quarterly. Its membership is open to one representative from each of the environmental groups and agencies operating in the district, including local, national and regional bodies.

The objectives of the Forum include raising awareness, understanding and appreciation of environmental issues within Mendip District.

The objectives are achieved by a number of measures, including facilitating communication, liaison and partnership between interested groups and maximising resources by encouraging co-operation between interested individuals, groups and resource providers.

The Forum is hosted by Mendip District Council - Lead Officer, Jo Milling, Jo.Milling@mendip.gov.uk
The Forum is chaired by Richard Dixon, richard@dixon.org.uk

The last meeting of the Forum was on the 19th January 2009 and the next will be on the 29th June 2009.
