Welcome to Mendip Environment

The Mendip Open Green Homes and Gardens open days took place in September 2009, and were a great success. Nearly 1500 visits were made to 27 homes in the area which have been built sustainably, or ‘eco-renovated’. Visitors were able to chat to the owners about how they save energy (and often money) at home, for example through the installation of renewable technologies, and high levels of insulation.
